Since his debut drive of the Mercedes W125 at the 1988 Belgian Grand Prix, John Surtees has been on the Mercedes-Benz Museum's list of elite drivers to demonstrate its priceless collection of pre and post-war racing machines.

In addition to the ex-Rudolf Caracciola W125, John has also given spirited demonstration drives around the world in the museum's W154, W154/65, W163, W165 Voiturette, W196, Mille Miglia and Targa Florio-winning 300SLR, Le Mans and Carrera Panamericana-winning 300SL prototype, and the 1969 C111 Wankel-engined prototype.
