John Surtees - the only man ever to have won World Championships on two and four wheels - has unrivalled experience in motorsport.
His unique skills set - which is available to companies and organisations of all types and sizes - covers engineering, design, competition and team management.
John learned 'the business' from the shop floor up: initially, by building and modifying the motorcycles on which he raced, and later as an apprentice at the Vincent-HRD motorcycle factory in the South of England. There he busied himself with every facet of motorcycle design, manufacture and development.
With a wealth of hands-on engineering and racing experience he was able to work with likes of Norton, MV Agusta, Lola, Ferrari and Honda to develop their frames, chassis and engines, in a way that few other riders and drivers of his era could.
John also has first hand experience of race car construction and running his own team. Between 1969 and 1978 his Team Surtees organisation built and raced a string of race and championship-winning F1, F2 and F5000 cars.
Today he puts that blend of engineering expertise and racing experience to good use helping young hopefuls and rising stars, including son, Henry, to make their mark in karting and junior motorsport.
