John Surtees Limited is the trading arm of the ex-World Champion which was founded in 1958 to look after the early motorcycle-related business interests of the motorsports legend.

Today its activities include the letting, management and development of commercial property plus a multitude of activities including personal appearances and motorsports consultancy.

The company's move into property management and development dates back to 1979, the year it took over the vacant premises of Team Surtees. That was the operation that John set up in the mid-1960s to mount a sports car campaign of his own.

Ultimately it became a car constructor in its own right, designing and building a string of race and championship-winning F1, F2 and F5000 cars at its extensive R&D and manufacturing base in Edenbridge, Kent. It was these premises that John Surtees Ltd took over soon after Team Surtees withdrew from motor racing in 1978.

In the three decades that have followed, the company has developed substantial property holdings, providing tenants such as the Suzuki MotoGP team and Baco Metal Centres with premises ranging in size from 1,000 to 60,000 sq ft.
